New Features
Link Referenced Items to the Latest Effective Document Version
Managing document relationships is now more flexible and easier to maintain.
When linking related documents in Document Control and Change Control, you can now choose whether the relationship should point to:
A specific document version that remains unchanged
The latest effective version that automatically updates as newer versions become effective
How this supports your work
Reduce manual updates when newer document versions become effective
Maintain more accurate relationships between documents and Change Requests
Preserve audit readiness with clear historical references
Prevent Classified Access on Reserved Quality Record Types
To help maintain system integrity and avoid unintended access restrictions, SimplerQMS now prevents administrators from classifying reserved record types such as:
Templates
Change Requests Types
CAPA Types
These records are essential for system operation and should remain accessible to authorized users.
How this supports your work
Reduce the risk of accidentally restricting critical quality processes
Improve administrative consistency
Help ensure users can access the records required to perform their work
Automatic Document Updates After Check-In
When checking in documents through the SimplerQMS Add-In, SimplerQMS now automatically updates document information in the web application.
Previously, users sometimes needed to refresh the page to see updated document previews, details, or version information.
What's in it for you?
See document updates immediately after check-in
Reduce manual page refreshes
Improve confidence that the latest document information is displayed
Better Visibility of Change Summaries
Change Summaries are now easier to access throughout the document lifecycle.
Authors can continue updating the Change Summary until the document reaches the Approval stage, and approvers can now view Change Summaries directly within the document record. Change Summaries are also visible on effective and released document versions.
What's in it for you?
Help approvers understand document changes more quickly
Improve visibility into revision history
Support more informed reviews and approvals
Improve transparency for document users and trainees
