App Version 1.21.0 enhances search, traceability, training visibility, and workflow reliability. These updates address customer challenges, enabling quicker access to information and better management of controlled documents.

New Features

Improved Search & Filtering

Finding relevant information is now easier across SimplerQMS.

Improvements include:

  • Search documents using custom fields, tags, quality processes, document relations, and attachments

  • Filter documents, Change Requests, and quality records by User Group

  • Filter My Work activities by Created By and Assigned To

  • User actions are now searchable by document External ID

  • Improved consistency between global and local search experiences

  • Fixed export formatting issues affecting record exports

  • Added CSV reporting improvements and enhanced search capabilities

These updates make it easier for teams to find information, track quality activities, and manage documents efficiently, while providing more reliable reporting and a consistent search experience across the platform.


Improved Document and Training Traceability

This release introduces better visibility into how documents and training requirements are connected.

Improvements include:

  • View Assigned Training Rules directly from Document Control and Change Control records

  • Automatically inherit relations from templates when creating documents, Change Requests, and CAPAs

These improvements make it easier to understand document relationships, identify training requirements, and maintain traceability across quality processes.


Bug Fixes and Improvements

Improved Change Control Reliability

Several fixes improve workflow consistency and Change Request management.

Improvements include:

  • Fixed issue preventing Change Requests from being sent back to Draft or Planning

  • Updated Requires Change Request settings to apply consistently to active working copies

  • Fixed approval and publishing errors affecting Change Requests

These improvements support more reliable Change Control workflows and help ensure changes progress as expected.


Improved Training and Periodic Review Workflows

This release includes improvements to training visibility and Periodic Review scheduling.

Improvements include:

  • Added reporting for users, groups, and associated Training Rules

  • Fixed Periodic Reviews that were not created when notice periods were already active

  • Fixed visibility issues for upcoming reviews in My Reviews

These improvements help organizations maintain training oversight, improve review planning, and reduce the risk of missed quality activities.


Improved Document Control Experience

This release includes several improvements to document editing, details handling, and document exports.

Improvements include:

  • Fixed issue where timestamp custom fields could cause the SimplerQMS Add-In to crash

  • Fixed formatting issues affecting custom field values in documents

  • Improved export formatting to maintain data structure and readability

These improvements support more reliable document editing workflows and help maintain document accuracy and consistency.


Improved Configuration and Usability

Several updates make system configuration easier to understand and manage.

Improvements include:

  • Added guidance and examples for Custom Fields configuration

  • Improved Document Type numbering configuration with updated descriptions, validation, and setup guidance

These improvements help administrators configure the system more confidently and support more consistent quality process management.
