This improvement helps reduce manual input, improve document consistency, and support more efficient document editing workflows.

These reports help teams improve visibility into assigned activities, track responsibilities more efficiently, and support better oversight across quality workflows.

This improvement helps teams find information faster, improve workflow visibility, and manage quality activities more efficiently.
Bug Fixes and Improvements
Document Editing Workflow Improvement
This release includes several improvements designed to support more consistent document editing and reduce friction when working with the SimplerQMS Add-In.
Empty properties now display "No Value" instead of internal merge tags or unclear formatting within the Add-In and inserted document fields.
These improvements help reduce manual input, improve document consistency, and provide clearer visibility into missing information during document editing workflows.
Documents, Templates, and Change Request Improvements
This release includes fixes to improve document lifecycle consistency and template accessibility.
Improvements include:
Fixed issue where newly added group members could not access templates assigned to their group.
Fixed issue where approving and releasing a document could incorrectly trigger both an effective and retired copy.
Removed due date requirement when archiving draft documents.
Removed Template and Change Request types from document type filter dropdowns.
Fixed issue where users could be blocked from creating documents or Change Requests due to indefinite loading during creation.
These improvements support more reliable document and Change Request workflows, improve template accessibility for teams, and help reduce unnecessary interruptions during document lifecycle activities.
Reports and Training Improvements
This release introduces improved visibility into user actions and training assignment handling.
View-license users are now excluded from Training Rule assignment selections. These improvements help teams gain better visibility into assigned activities and support more accurate Training Rule management.
Filtering, Sorting, and Usability Improvements
Several updates improve filtering capabilities and overall workflow usability across the platform.
Improvements include:
Review windows now automatically close after completion.
Improved messaging when users do not have permission to upload attachments.
Removed browser autocomplete suggestions on Effective Date fields to reduce friction during data entry.
Fixed sorting errors in Tags settings.
These improvements help teams find information more efficiently, reduce confusion during workflow activities, and improve overall usability across quality processes.
User Settings and Permissions Improvements
This release includes updates to improve permissions clarity and configuration consistency.
Improvements include:
Removed the Classified Access flag and related user interface from user settings to align with the current permissions model.
Fixed pagination and result count inconsistencies when groups contain nested groups.
Renamed the system-seeded All internal users group to All users to better reflect actual user coverage.
Improved naming consistency for actions related to users and groups.
These improvements help simplify permissions management, improve configuration clarity, and provide a more consistent user experience across groups and user settings.
With App Version 1.17.0, SimplerQMS continues improving the consistency, usability, and reliability of core quality workflows for life science organizations.
These updates help reduce friction in document and workflow activities, improve visibility into user actions and assignments, and support more efficient quality processes across the platform.
