App Version 1.15.0 introduces improvements focused on Change Control consistency, system reliability, and user experience.

The release includes updates across Change Control workflows, notifications, document handling, licensing behavior, and usability improvements to help teams work more efficiently while maintaining traceability and control.

Key highlights include:

  • Improved Change Request workflows for more controlled document processes

  • Better notification management and user experience improvements

  • Improved platform stability and document loading performance

  • Clearer licensing behavior and permissions handling

Launch Schedule

App Version 1.15.0 is available to all SimplerQMS customers as of May 12, 2026.

New Feature

Create Change Request from Document Controlled by Change Request

Previously, documents requiring Change Control could remain in an ‘Awaiting Release’ state without clear guidance on the next step. This update introduces a more guided workflow for routing these documents through Change Requests.

This release introduces the capability to create a Change Request directly from a Document Control record for document types requiring Change Control before becoming effective.

Improvements include:

  • Create a Change Request directly from a Document Control record by selecting Requires CR and completing Change Request details

  • Documents routed through Change Requests are automatically added to the Items to Change section, improving traceability and reducing manual steps

These improvements support more consistent Change workflows and better traceability between documents and Change Requests.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

Improved Visibility of Actions in Change Requests

Fixed an issue where Actions displayed incorrectly as “()” when opening a Change Request in execution phase from the My Work page.

This improvement provides clearer visibility into Change execution activities, helping users review and manage assigned actions more efficiently.

Notifications and User Experience

This release includes several fixes that improve notification capability in SimplerQMS.

Improvements include:

  • Capability to disable email notifications. You can now opt out of email notifications while continuing to receive in-app notifications.

  • Improved notification clarity and collaboration alerts. Fixed issues where notifications displayed incorrect “null” values or triggered unnecessary collaboration alerts.

  • Improved notification redirection. Fixed an issue where clicking notifications did not redirect users to the correct item or page.

  • Inactive users no longer receive notification emails.

These improvements provide greater flexibility in notification management, reduce confusion from incorrect alerts, and support faster navigation to assigned tasks and activities.

Improved Performance and Reliability

Several fixes improve SimplerQMS performance and reliability to support more stable and efficient documentation workflows.

Improvements include:

  • Improved document loading performance in SimplerQMS Add-In. This improvement reduces delays and helps minimize the risk of unsaved changes.

  • Improved Training Rule update handling. Fixed an issue preventing Training Rule timeline updates from being saved successfully after approval. Approved Training Rules now correctly update corresponding training records with the new timeline.

These improvements help support more reliable document editing workflows and more consistent Training Rule updates.

Improved Licensing and Permissions

This release includes several fixes that improve licensing and permissions in SimplerQMS.

Improvements include:

  • Improved Standard license behavior and module access handling, including Analytics access visibility.

  • Fixed an issue where Light License users incorrectly received review assignments despite not being able to complete review activities.

These improvements help ensure users receive the correct assignments and access based on their license type, supporting more consistent permissions handling across quality workflows.

Enhanced User Interface and Usability

This release includes several usability and user interface improvements across the platform.

Improvements include:

  • Faster signing experience. Improved focus behavior in the signature to make signing workflows faster and more efficient.

  • Better visibility of Entity Type settings. Added clearer visibility of key Entity Type settings directly from the Settings overview table, including:

    • Requires CR

    • Classified Access

    • Disabled State

    • Due Date Requirements

  • Improved browser tab behavior after logout. Browser tab titles now reset correctly after logout.

These improvements help streamline daily activities, improve usability across the platform, and provide better visibility into key configuration settings.
