We've released App Version 1.13.0, focusing on strengthening document reliability, system stability, and access control across quality processes.

These updates address issues affecting document consistency, user permissions, and performance—helping ensure more accurate, controlled, and efficient daily quality operations.

Key improvements include:

Bug Fixes and Improvements

More Reliable Document Output and Formatting

We resolved multiple issues affecting how documents are rendered and displayed after approval.

Improvements include:

  • Template information now remains visible after document approval

  • Documents using Aptos, Open Sans, and Proxima Soft now retain the same fonts in generated PDFs

  • Document formatting consistency is improved between working copies and released versions

  • Date formats now correctly apply to document field codes (e.g., timestamp fields)

  • Fixed issue preventing documents from being published due to PDF generation errors

These improvements ensure that your documents maintain traceability to templates and source data, remain consistent and audit-ready in PDF format, and accurately reflect configured property and formatting.


Corrected Document Status Behavior

An issue in document status display has been resolved.

Improvements include:

  • Documents now correctly transition from "Released for Training" to "Effective" based on effective date

This ensures accurate reflection of document lifecycle status and better visibility for audit and compliance purposes.


More Controlled Change Request Configuration

We improved how Quality Process fields behave in Change Requests.

Improvements include:

  • The Quality Process field is not restricted when only one valid option exists

This reduces risk of incorrect process selection and unintended deviations from defined Change Control workflows.


Improved Template and SimplerQMS Add-In Behavior

We resolved issues affecting template-based workflows and SimplerQMS Add-In functionality.

Improvements include:

  • Document properties now load correctly in the SimplerQMS Add-In for template document types

  • Template approval process errors have been resolved

This ensures consistent use of templates across documents and reliable property management through the SimplerQMS Add-In.


Corrected Access Control for Viewer Users

We fixed an issue where users with Viewer licenses could access content beyond intended permissions.

Improvements include:

  • Viewer users now only see released documents, as configured

  • Working copies, templates, and non-released records are no longer visible unless permitted

This update strengthens data integrity, access control, and alignment with internal roles. It also strengthens compliance with controlled document access expectations.


Clearer User Interaction Feedback

We improved how confirmation messages appear after completing workflow actions. Confirmation messages (e.g., "Action 'Approved' completed") no longer overlay primary action buttons, making it easier to see available actions right away.

Improvements include:

  • Confirmation messages no longer block action buttons

  • Users can clearly see and confirm their actions during workflow transitions

This supports better usability during document lifecycle transitions.


Improved System Performance and Stability

We addressed performance issues impacting document handling and editing.

Improvements include:

  • Faster document loading and checkout times

  • Reduced risk of losing unsaved changes during document editing

  • More stable document interactions within Microsoft Word integration

This helps your team work more efficiently without interruptions, reduce risk of data loss during document updates, and maintain productivity in daily quality operations.
