Bug Fixes and Improvements
Flexible Licensing for Growing Quality Systems
This release introduced the Standard license, providing greater flexibility in how organizations manage user access across their quality system.
The Standard license includes:
Full capabilities for Document Control and Change Control
Edit access to two additional modules
This helps organizations align system permissions with user responsibilities and scaling quality processes as organizations grow.
Enhanced Change Request Workflows
This release improves flexibility and collaboration in Change Request workflows, allowing teams to manage actions more effectively during planning and execution.
Improvements include:
Users can now assign actions to other users, enabling better delegation
Actions created during planning now appear in dashboards only during execution
Users can now update or remove actions during the planning phase
Fixed issue where periodic review settings were not reflected correctly in actions
Fixed mismatch between notification counts and actual pending actions
Corrected typo appearing in generated PDF signatures after approval
These supports better collaboration across quality and operational teams, clearer task visibility during Change Request execution, and improved accuracy in notifications and workflow tracking.
Assign Tasks from the Home Menu
You can assign actions to other users directly from the New To-do option in the Home menu.
Create a task, select the assignee, and optionally require an electronic signature. Tasks appear in the assignee’s My Work screen and To-do tab.
This enhancement enables better delegation across teams and supports additional use cases such as scheduling reviews (e.g., supplier or product reviews).
Improved Document Control Reliability
Several improvements enhance the reliability of Document Control workflows, particularly when working with Microsoft Word and Excel documents.
These fixes address issues that previously caused formatting inconsistencies, document properties discrepancies, or approval workflow interruptions.
Improvements include:
Fixes to Track Changes compatibility with the SimplerQMS Word Add-In
Resolution of duplicated headers and footers after accepting changes
Corrected table of contents numbering changes during repeated document check-in/out
Fixed issue preventing Word documents with watermarks from being released
Corrected PDF orientation issues when generating PDFs from Excel documents
Resolved system error when accessing specific archived documents
Fixed issues preventing document approval completion
Improved consistency between working copies and generated PDF properties, including author and effective state fields
These improvements allow more reliable workflows and consistency between document versions and generated PDFs.
Improved Training Matrix Accuracy
An issue where completed training records were not reflected correctly in the Training matrix has been resolved.
This ensures training dashboards accurately reflect employee completion status and helps maintain reliable training records for audits and compliance checks.
Improved Data Consistency and Record Relationships
Several fixes improve consistency across document properties, relationships, and workspace views.
Improvements include:
Fixed issue where documents added to Relations fields were not displayed after saving
Resolved issue where missing tags caused workspace views to return empty results
Improved formatting of property keys by removing unsupported characters
These improvements help more accurate workspace views and document discovery and greater consistency in document properties across the platform.
