Document Versioning Enhancement

Clear document versioning is essential for effective training, approvals, and audit readiness. Based on your feedback, we've improved how versions are presented in SimplerQMS to support clearer traceability and smoother audits.

This release also includes minor fixes and stability improvements to support reliable and uninterrupted workflows.

App Version 1.3.4 is available to all SimplerQMS customers as of February 4, 2026.

Improved Document Versioning

We’ve enhanced document version visibility across SimplerQMS to better align with common life science quality practices and regulatory expectations.

Previously, minor versions (e.g., 1.1, 1.2) were visible across lists, which could create confusion when referencing documents, completing training, or preparing for audits.

With this update:

  • Only major versions (e.g. 1, 2, 3) are shown across module overview page.

  • Minor versions remain available in document history and audit trails for full traceability.

This helps your organization to:

  • Reference controlled documents more clearly.

  • Reduce the risk of audit observations related to version ambiguity.

  • Maintain clearer training and approval records.

  • Focus on the released version that is effective and in use.

Other Update to Support Your Day-to-Day Work

  • Improved PDF font and printing. We resolved issues where fonts were not rendered correctly and PDF printing failed. PDFs generated from SimplerQMS now render correctly and can be printed reliably in Adobe Acrobat and browser-based PDF viewers.

  • Clearer URL when making document effective. When a document is made effective, the status is now automatically reflected in the URL, improving clarity when sharing or referencing effective documents.

  • Fixed saved filter visibility behavior. We resolved an issue where changes to saved filter visibility were not reflected correctly. Visibility updates (personal, specific group, or organization) are now applied immediately.

  • Training rule improvement. We resolved an issue where adding new documents to an existing training required users to repeat the entire training. Now, users only complete the newly added content.
